Claire is a New York based director and designer, originally from Chicago. She graduated from Yale with a BA in Theatre Studies and Humanities. She is interested in provocative, boundary-breaking theatre that asks questions about gender, sexuality, and identity. 

In New York, Claire has assistant directed several one-night-only performances featuring stars like Lindsay Mendez and Santino Fontana. She has also assisted on a plethora of live TV broadcasts, including the New York Emmy Awards. Claire directed a reading of her translation of Genet's The Maids, which she continues to develop. She made her Off-Broadway scenic design debut with Fuenteovejuna, directed by Bibiana Torres at Repertorio Español. Claire works in Programming at L'Alliance New York, supporting cultural events including Crossing The Line, "the one fest to rule them all" (Helen Shaw, The New Yorker).
